Wonderful news for fans of ANTHRAX, the follow-up of Worship Music will be with you in January!

Drummer, Charlie Benante made the claims of the record to be pushed back into 2016 due to the band focusing on a 30th anniversary edition of Spreading the Disease.

Bassist Frank Bello has however confirmed that ANTHRAX fans won’t have to wait too long.

He tells Mars Attacks Radio: “We’re talking about January. We’re just about to start mixing, we’re getting all of the nitty-gritty stuff done but it’s just about finished.

We have a lot of great songs which I’m really happy about. It’s about four or five songs over what we’ll put out on the record. At this stage, it’s really hard to say no to some of them.

You’ve got to keep people’s attention – there’s a lot of metal out there. You’ve got to put out the best so you’ve got to keep that attention span for the record.

I couldn’t be more excited.”

Guess we’ll all be keeping our eye out then!

ANTHRAX are set to play a number of UK dates with their fellow Big Four band, Slayer in November, dates are listed below :

Nov 21: Newport Centre
Nov 22: Plymouth Pavillion
Nov 24: Manchester Apollo
Nov 25: Glasgow O2 Academy
