Bloodstock confirm 10 more bands
Bloodstock have confirmed another ten bands for this year’s festival!
With the festival now only 86 days away, the organisers of the annual festival have confirmed another ten bands for this year’s lineup. Joining the likes of AMON AMARTH, MEGADETH, ARCH ENEMY, GHOST, KREATOR and more on the Ronnie James Dio Stage are DEVILMENT who are still in support of last year’s Devilment II: The Mephisto Waltzes. Speaking about the festival, the band says, “obviously the band are really looking forward to playing the festival, and as a English band it will definitely be an honour to play the main stage on what is tantamount to the best British festival out there. Hopefully festival goers will come and check DEVILMENT out, we intend on putting on quite a raucous heavy metal spectacle!”
Also included in today’s announcement is the Thursday night headliner for the Sophie Lancaster Stage; Finnish power metallers BATTLE BEAST. Speaking about performing, bassist Eero comments, “we’re psyched to be taking on Bloodstock for the first time. We had a great time playing in the UK this spring, and it’s really neat to be returning there so soon. Looking forward to seeing all our friends again soon!” Rounding up the day’s announcement is the first batch of bands from the annual Metal 2 The Masses finals. Coventry’s DEVIL’S PLAYGROUND, Swindon’s MERITHIAN, Brighton death metallers ENSLAVEMENT, Sheffield’s blackened doom outfit BA’AL, Dublin’s progressive sludge metallers ZHORA, melodic death metallers SHROUDED and CD application winners HEATHEN DEITY. Also, as part of the band exchange with Slovenian festival MetalDays, Slovenian doom metallers MIST will also perform at this year’s event.
Confirmed so far for 2017’s festival are the three main stage headliners headliners AMON AMARTH, GHOST, and MEGADETH, plus ARCH ENEMY, KREATOR, BLIND GUARDIAN, HATEBREED, TESTAMENT, OBITUARY, KING 810, BRUJERIA, WHITECHAPEL, SKINDRED, POSSESSED, ANNIHILATOR, MUNICIPAL WASTE, HELL, DECAPITATED, SOILWORK, CHELSEA GRIN, MACABRE, INQUISITION, SCARAB, WINTERSUN, ONI, DENDERA, KROH, ABHORRENT DECIMATION, COURTESANS, WRETCHED SOUL, BOSSK, WINTERFYLLETH, GODS, BLIND HAZE, ARTHEMIS, SEASON’S END, BLIND RIVER, ENDEAVOUR, BLAAKYUM, DAKESIS, NORDJEVEL, TORQUED, BLACK MOTH, MANTAR, WOLFHEART, LIONIZE and BROKEN TEETH.
