Damnation Festival reveals Cult of Luna as final headliner

Damnation Festival have revealed their final main stage headliner for 2016’s edition of the festival

Joining the previously announced headline acts, ABBATH and ELECTRIC WIZARD, CULT OF LUNA have been announced as the third and final main stage headliner for Damnation Festival 2016. The band will perform with Julie Christmas performing Mariner in a UK exclusive show.

In a statement regarding the announcement Johannes Persson said, “The stars have aligned perfectly and I am going to have take back what I’ve repeated in numerous interviews this past year: that Mariner will not be played live, because it will… There are no plans to perform the album live again.”

CULT OF LUNA join ABBATH and ELECTRIC WIZARD as the three main stage headliners alongside performances throughout the day from ENSLAVED, NAILS, NE OBLIVISCARIS, BOSSK, OCEANS OF SLUMBER, FULL OF HELL, AKERCOCKE and BLACK TUSK. There are still 16 bands still to be announced.

Damnation Festival takes place on November 5th at Leeds University Union. Tickets are priced at £38 and are available from their official website.
