Unfortunate news for FOO FIGHTERS fans- after breaking his leg and still pushing through the rest of the gig in Sweden, Dave Grohl’s injuries have unfortunately resulted in the cancellation of the rest of the Foo Fighters European tour, including the performance at Wembly, and headlining at Glastonbury and Rock Werchter.

Writing on the band’s site, Grohl commented, “My doctors have advised me to lay low for a while. The most important thing now is for me to recover from the surgery, to keep my leg elevated so as to keep swelling down and prevent any infection/complication that could do long term damage. I’m not out of the woods yet, folks…Which means, and it kills me to say it…..the doctors have told us to cancel shows”

It’s been confirmed that FLORENCE + THE MACHINE will take over as headliner for Glastonbury and there have been some disappointed fans looking to see if there is any chance of refund on festival tickets. However those looking for refunds for the Wembly gig will have to wait until Friday for more news. “A further announcement will be made on Friday to advise ticket purchasers of the process for refunding of tickets and to report any other available information,” reads a statement on the Wembly site.

The band will apparently still tour the US, starting back up on the 4th of July in Washington, and will continue to complete that leg of the tour.
