Alongside the Bataclan, attacks took place at the Petit Cambodge restaurant and the Stade de France where the national football teams of France and Germany were playing a friendly.

A stage of emergency has been declared with the countries boarders shut and 15,000 military personnel have been drafted into the capital. It is understood that eight attackers have been accounted for in Paris.

In statement on the EAGLES OF DEATH METAL Facebook page, the band say, “We are still currently trying to determine the safety and whereabouts of all our band and crew. Our thoughts are with all of the people involved in this tragic situation.”

President Barack Obama says in a TV statement: “This is an attack not just on the people of France but an attack on all of humanity. We stand prepared and ready to provide whatever assistance the government and the people of France need. We want to be very clear that we stand with them in the fight against terrorism and extremism.”
