Hard RockIntroducing

INTRODUCING: SIMO

1

WORDS: James Weaver

The blues movement’s influence on contemporary rock and roll is absolutely enormous, with the guitar playing of many prominent blues band inspiring countless rock and heavy metal bands. Whilst the movement may have lost it’s cutting edge in modern times, SIMO breathes an enormous breath of fresh air into the style.

Comprising of JD Simo [vocals/guitar], Adam Abrashoff [drums] and Elad Shapiro [bass], the trio from Nashville’s approach to the classic formula is as inventive as it is classic. Hard-hitting vocal deliveries laced with a strong southern US accent provides the utmost power to an otherwise easy listening experience. Subtle bass lines and intricate guitar playing provides a smooth journey as SIMO present their craft in fine fashion. So much so that icon Jon Bonamassa states “Old school to the max and playing vintage guitars!! JD is one of the best out there right now…one of the guys on the scene I’d love to jam with.”

Currently the band are preparing to release their latest studio export, Let Love Show The Way, and judging by the latest single, I’ll Always Be Around (which you can listen to below), the three lads from Nashville are hear to say. And well, that is more than welcome.

SIMO are:

JD Simo – vocals/guitar

Adam Abrashoff  – Drums

Elad Shapiro – Bass
