Hard RockIntroducing

INTRODUCING: Torous

Birmingham, the home of metal; a city that has pushed out some of the most iconic bands to date and some of the best new talent in the rock and metal scene. Celtic hard rock band TOROUS are just one of the many that are emerging, except they’re one of the few that have what it takes.
Marc Malone (Vocals/Guitar), GMT (Bass) and Tom Fenn (Drums) kick-started the band in April 2014 and have already gone on to release their debut EP, Dried Bones, raising the profile of who they are and managing to secure three tours alone from it. Alongside their own tours, TOROUS have managed to secure supporting slots for bands such as RIVAL STATE, EVIL SCARECROW and DIAMOND HEAD.

To achieve such a high standard of live performances and be able to secure such spots so early on, spots that some bands have been working four times longer on securing, is an absolute magnificent achievement.  Their work ethic is next to none and has been praised by peers, unquestionable when looking at what they have managed to do.

One of the best things about TOROUS is that whilst studio listening is phenomenal and you can hear the Celtic-influence pour through and surround the sounds of excellent hard rock and metal, their live performances are up there. Their hard work, determination and passion for what they do really drives the impact of their on-stage charisma and whoever is watching will be sucked in to the trios charm.

The band have recently signed to Holier Than Thou Records, adding yet another step in the right direction for their musical journey, and are ultimately ready to take on the world and make their mark.

In just a couple of days, Distorted Sound will be lucky enough to be premiering an exclusive of the band’s latest single, Colours; so keep your eyes and ears peeled and at the ready.
