Opeth reflect on their proudest career moments

OPETH have released a video where they reflect on some of their proudest moments in their career!

With the band just releasing their twelfth studio record, Sorceress, (read our review here) it marks a massive landmark for the band. It represents a successful career of 26 years where the band have risen from strength to strength. In the video, which you can view below, Mikael Åkerfeldt [guitars, vocals] and Fredrik Åkesson [guitars] reflect back on some their proudest moments in the band.

Watch the official video for OPETH’s career reflection exclusively here:

Speaking about the record, guitarist Fredrik Åkesson tells Distorted Sound, “Well it is not a concept album, but Mikael wrote the lyrics and it feels a bit strange for me to talk about his lyrics you know? [laughs] But I wouldn’t say there’s any direct messages at all, it is kind of a cliché answer but I think everybody can make up their own histories reading the lyrics. I know Mikael spent a lot of time with the lyrics and put a lot of thought into them, I think it reflects stuff in his personal life in a way and there’s some other stuff too.”

OPETH will perform at Wembley Arena in London on November 19th. Tickets are available here.

Sorceress is out now via Moderbolaget Records/Nuclear Blast Records.
