SABATON guitarist Thobbe Englund has left the band just weeks before their 8th studio album, The Last Stand, is due for release.
Thobbe will continue to play more shows during the summer and play his final show with SABATON in their hometown of Falun, on their very own festival Sabaton Open Air, consequently the release party of their album The Last Stand.
Earlier today, SABATON posted the announcement wishing their fellow band-mate ‘good luck in the future’ and ‘nothing but success’. Read the statement from Thobbe alongside the announcement below:
Sabaton Open Air commences from the 18th-20th August with SABATON closing the main stage on the Saturday.
Any future tour dates will carry on without Thobbe, however there is no news on a replacement as of yet.
The Last Stand is set for release 19th August with Nuclear Blast Records
