Varg Vikerness Arrested in France

Black metal Icon Varg Vikerness, a neo-Nazi sympathiser has been arrested in Southern France after concerns that the Norwegian was plotting to unleash a ‘terrorist act’. Police believe that Vikerness was planning to commit a massacre and sub-sequentially are searching his property for weapons and explosives.

Varg Vikerness has previous criminal history, he has currently served 16 years of a 21 year prison sentence (the maximum sentence in Norway) for the murder of Mayhem’s guitarist Euronymous. He had also been convicted of four counts of arson attacks against four of Norway’s Christian churches, since his release in 2009 he moved to France with his wife and children.

Varg Vikerness is known musically for his work on his project Burzum has released eleven studio records, the last being ‘Sôl austan, Mâni vestan‘ in 2012. What this arrest means to his musical career is yet to be clarified.

    i completely agree and support varg. it is bullshit what they convicted him for in france. he was simply stating opinion and fact to the public.
