10 Years announce new album ‘Violent Allies’
10 YEARS have announced a new album!
Titled Violent Allies, the upcoming album from the American hard rock band follows 2017’s (How To Live) As Ghosts and is scheduled to be released in September this year, via Mascot Records. The announcement of the new album comes on the back of the release of their recent single, The Shift, which will appear on the new album.
“We don’t ever try to recreate what we’ve done in the past,” explains vocalist Jesse Hasek. “We knew we had to challenge ourselves to see what we had in us. If it’s not stressful, you’re not challenging yourself to grow. From the beginning, music has always been therapy and an outlet. We let ourselves enjoy the process, be vulnerable, and talk about those emotions. We got back to why we love music with the maturity of where we’re at in our lives. We were able to harness that love of creating from a wiser and more developed perspective.”
“We were hard on ourselves,” admits guitarist/drummer/bassist/backing vocalist Brian Vodinh. “It was more intense than during records past, but it was worth it. The outcome was exactly what we wanted it to be.”
Alongside the announcement of the new album, the band have released a new song from the upcoming album; titled The Unknown.
