11 more bands confirmed for 2000 Trees Festival
11 more bands have been confirmed for 2000 Trees Festival!
Summer is so close now and this warm weather has got us here at Distorted Sound hugely excited for this year’s festival season and the good folks at 2000 Trees have confirmed another awesome 11 names for this year’s festival! Joining the likes of ENTER SHIKARI, AT THE DRIVE IN, TWIN ATLANTIC and more is MALLORY KNOX, VODUN, RAGING SPEEDHORN, DREAM WIFE, BEANS ON TOAST, ASYLUMS, SKINNY LISTER, WILL VARLEY, DEMOB HAPPY, SICK JOY and IMPERIAL LEISURE. Speaking about performing at this year’s festival, MALLORY KNOX says, “we’re really happy to be coming back to play 2000trees again this year! 2000trees has always been one of our favourite festivals and it was one of our highlights in last year’s calendar. We were really eager to come back and play this great festival when we heard there was an opportunity to do so. This is our third time playing here now but our first as a four piece, and we’re excited to play some new songs we’ve been working alongside older tunes.”
Alongside the announcement of the new bands, the festival organisers have also confirmed who is set to play on the intimate Forest Stage. ENTER SHIKARI, MY VITRIOL, ARCANE ROOTS, FATHERSON, THE XCERTS, JAMIE LENMAN, JONAH MATRANGA, DAVE MCPHERSON, PRESS TO MECO, GRUMBLE BEE, LOUISE DISTRAS, BRYDE, JACK LOUIS COOPER, SAINT LEONARD’S HORSES and LUKE RAINSFORD will all perform stripped back and acoustic sets across the festival weekend. Speaking about the stage, festival organiser James Scarlett says, “the Forest Sessions is one of my favourite things about the festival, so I can’t wait to see what the artists can pull out of the bag this year – particularly ENTER SHIKARI who I know have something special planned! It’s a chance to see artists play stripped back sets out of their usual comfort zone and often produces the highlight of the festival. The JAMIE LENMAN covers set from 2016 is probably the best thing I’ve ever seen at Trees and FRANK CARTER & THE HUNDRED REASONS last year were incredible.”
2000 Trees Festival takes place from 12-14 July at Upcote Farm, Cheltenham. Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased here.
