2000trees Festival announce 34 new bands
2000trees Festival have announced 34 new bands for this year’s festival!
Following January’s announcement, which saw the likes of THE CHATS, HOT MILK, NOVA TWINS, DEATH FROM ABOVE 1979 and more announced, now, the final 34 bands for this year’s festival have been confirmed!
Leading the charge in the new announcement is DON BROCO, who will headline the Saturday in their only live show of the year, whilst FRANK TURNER & THE SLEEPING SOULS, BOB VYLAN and WARGASM will perform across the festival weekend this July.
Also confirmed to perform at this year’s festival is LOS CAMPESIONOS!, EMPIRE STATE BASTARD, LONELY THE BRAVE, SKINNY LISTER, CASKETS, KID BRUNSWICK, THE OOZES, CHERYM, VOWER, BLANK ATLAS, HARPY, LIAM CROMBY, THE RUMJACKS, PALM READER (performing their last show before disbanding), BLOOD COMMAND, COLD YEARS, LAURAN HIBBERD, KATIE MALCO, BEX, SWEET PILL, COSMIC PSYCHOS, CRAE WOLF, EKKSTACY, HOLY WARS, DELIAH BON, KID BOOKIE, THE MEFFS, SAFEP8CE, BOWEN and THE COMPUTERS.
Speaking about performing at this year’s festival, BOB VYLAN says, “we’re looking forward to being back at 2000trees, one of the best UK festivals there is, for the third consecutive year. An unprecedented event in the 2000trees history and we’re looking forward to being part of that history once again in an even bigger way this time around.”
DON BROCO says, “we are so excited to play 2000trees this year! So many of our friends sight it as their favourite festival, so getting to play it for the first time as a headliner feels very special. It’s our only UK show this year so we will be going all out! Also REUBEN are our favourite band in the world so it will be like playing on hallowed ground for us. We can’t wait.”
FRANK TURNER says, “a summer’s not a proper summer without a stop at 2000trees. It’s my festival home, I played the first year, they named a campsite after me, it’s where I belong. Stoked to be coming back through.” Milkie of WARGASM adds, “back when I first moved to England I would attend 2000trees nearly every year. I’ve seen so many bands that are dear to my heart in that little field and to be not only returning, but making our 2000trees debut with WARGASM by headlining a stage really is a full circle moment.”
And PALM READER says, “this year will mark the ending of our band of 13 years. We will be celebrating all the good times we’ve shared together by playing the best festival in the world – 2000trees. It is a an absolute privilege to play at Upcote Farm for the eighth time and we can’t think of a better send off than to commemorate the passing of such a large part of our lives at the place we love the most, surrounded by friends, trees and beside the ones we love.”
2000trees Festival organiser, James Scarlett says, “DON BROCO are easily one of the most requested bands that are still yet to play 2000trees. To have them join Trees legend FRANK TURNER, and one of the most exciting bands to play the festival in recent years in BOB VYLAN, tops off one of the most compelling line ups we’ve ever had. The rest of this announcement, from WARGASM to EMPIRE STATE BASTARD, CHERYM to VOWER, added to the already announced likes of BOSTON MANOR, DEAD PONY, CASSYETTE, STATIC DRESS, SNAYX, NOVA TWINS, CRAWLERS and CREEPER, 2000trees this year is showing everyone UK rock is in good hands!”
