2000trees Festival announce 35 new bands
35 new bands have been announced for next year’s 2000trees Festival!
After announcing a thumping 21 bands back in September (that included the likes of IDLES, CROSSFAITH, YOUNG GUNS, HUNDREDTH and more), now, 35 new bands have been announced for next year’s festival!
Leading the established charge are Australian outfit THE CHATS, THE WILDHEARTS frontman Ginger, Brighton three-piece TIGERCUB, Welsh mega-anthem peddlers DREAM STATE, as well as BLOOD COMMAND, DELAIR THE LIAR, FALSE ADVERTISING, FANGCLUB, GOD DAMN, ORCHARDS, PHOXJAW and ROAM.
Rounding up the big announcement is KID KAPICHI, NEVER NOT NOTHING, THE HARA, THE LUKA STATE, WITCH FEVER, DITZ, DREAM NAILS, CLT DRP, FRESH, ZAND, GNARLAH, LEECHED, SWIM SCHOOL, HOTEL LUX, CHERYM, NEW PAGANS, IAN MILES, SUPERLOVE, ITHACA, HERIOT, BLEAK SOUL, S.T. MANVILLE and TOKKY HORROR.
Speaking about performing at next year’s festival, Earmon of THE CHATS says, “after being stuck in Australia for nearly two years, I have never been more excited than to get out to the Cotswolds to drink some warm beer and play at what we’ve been told is the best festival in the UK.”
Jamie of TIGERCUB adds, “2000trees Festival have been OG supporters of TIGERCUB. I remember the first time we played, I saw so many people wearing t-shirts of smaller alternative bands that I liked.. It seemed like this really was the place that people come to support upcoming music, I was proved right when I walked on stage later that afternoon as there was a full tent of people raging out of their minds to our set. This time around TC are stepping up to the mainstage and we couldn’t be more proud!”
Festival booker James Scarlett says, “the best thing about my job is booking up-and-coming bands that go on to be massive. We’ve had the likes of IDLES, SLAVES, CREEPER and NOTHING BUT THIEVES when they were very new bands and it makes me excited to think about who the next wave of headliners might be in five years’ time… I’m going for PHOXJAW, WITCH FEVER and ZAND!”
2000trees Festival will take place at Upcote Farm, near Cheltenham, Gloucestershire on July 6th-9th 2022. Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased here.
