Bloodstock Festival reveal second headliner
Kicking off the New Year in style, Bloodstock Festival have confirmed the second headliner for 2017’s edition of the festival!
With the festival confirming the first headliner, AMON AMARTH, back in November, fans had been speculating for some time who the other two headliners would be. Now, the festival have confirmed the Sunday night headliner for 2017’s festival; thrash metal titans MEGADETH. Speaking about the announcement, frontman/guitarist Dave Mustaine says, “we kick off 2017 by announcing we’ll be headlining Sunday night at Bloodstock, one of my favourite, purely metal, British festivals! MEGADETH had a blast last time and I can’t wait to bring the Dystopia World Tour to Bloodstock this Summer. See ya at Catton Park in August!”
Already announced for 2017 are Friday’s headliners AMON AMARTH, plus BLIND GUARDIAN, HATEBREED, TESTAMENT, OBITUARY, BRUJERIA, WHITECHAPEL, SKINDRED, POSSESSED, ANNIHILATOR, MUNICIPAL WASTE, HELL and DECAPITATED.
Alongside the band announcement, the festival have also confirmed that a variety of ticket options are now available. Standard and VIP tickets are on sale now and also available now is the ticket deposit scheme. The payment plan helps ease the ‘big lump’ shock of paying for standard weekend tickets by breaking it up into five smaller, more manageable sums.
Bloodstock Open Air Festival takes place at Catton Park, Derbyshire from August 10-13th 2017. Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased here.
