Burial Clouds announce debut album ‘Last Days Of A Dying World’
BURIAL CLOUDS have announced their debut album!
Titled Last Days Of A Dying World, the upcoming album from the American doom-meets-post-metal band is their debut full-length album, and is scheduled to be released in May this year, via Church Road Records.
The band were originally an instrumental band, but have recently been joined on vocals by actor/musician Michael Malarkey [Vampire Diaries, Project Blue Book]. With this addition, the band intend to reach a new level of expansiveness through Malarkey’s crooning blues-esque vocals and blistering screams.
Speaking about the debut album, the band says, “the music was written at the height of the George Floyd protests. Once Michael joined the band, one of the discussions we had was approaching social/political topics through the more human, emotional side of living in the heart of a violent, stagnating empire. We certainly all have our ideological leanings, but we’re not scholars or revolutionaries, so we cant give that perspective. What we’re doing with this song, and much of our music, is shining that light through this prism of creativity and hopefully what comes out the other side is something other people can relate to their own experience.”
