An Autumn For Crippled Children announce new album ‘Closure’
AN AUTUMN FOR CRIPPLED CHILDREN have announced a new album!
Titled Closure, the upcoming album from the Dutch post-black metal band is the follow-up to 2021’s As The Morning Dawns We Close Our Eyes, and is scheduled to be released in August this year, via Prosthetic Records.
Recorded by the band between September 2021 and May 2022 in the Netherlands, Closure’s production spotlights the trio’s complex melodies with an accomplished sheen without compromising on the staple lo-fi elements of AN AUTUMN FOR CRIPPLED CHILDREN’s foundational intensity.
Speaking about the upcoming album, guitarist/vocalist MCHL says, “album number ten and fourteen years in existence. Nobody in the band would have guessed in their wildest dreams that we would make it this far, it’s been a wild and emotional ride. We’ve poured every moment of happiness and sadness into this band. This tenth album feels like a closure, like an end of something. Ten is a kind of magic number, isn’t it? It feels like the end of an era, the end of the road. Nothing can last forever. Melancholic, bittersweet emotions, awe, lost memories, faded lives, forgotten pasts… it all comes together on this album.”
Alongside the announcement of the new album, the band have released a new song from the upcoming album; Where Pain Begins.
