Darius announce new album ‘Murmuration’

DARIUS have announced a new album!

Titled Murmuration, the new album from the Swiss instrumental post-hardcore quintet is scheduled to be released in May this year via Hummus Records. It was recorded under the guidance of Amaury Sauvé (BIRDS IN ROW, IT IT ANITA, PLEBEIAN GRANDSTAND). More information on the album will be available soon.

Alongside the announcement of the album, the band have released its lead single Ail Huile.

Speaking about the track, guitarist Sylvain Aebischer comments, “To clarify right away: yes, ‘Ail Huile’ is the French phonic version of ‘I will’. It’s all because a riff found in a BEATLES cover gave our drummer Julien the idea to go for a crazy polyrhythm that really broke our brains. But as we liked the idea of confronting slightly dysfunctional moments with others that were more coherent and luminous, we persevered. The kick-ass intro and the whole epic second half can testify to that. In retrospect, OK, this track started out with garlic and oil, but then we put a lot of self and intention into it!”
