Planet On A Chain announce new album ‘Culture Of Death’
PLANET ON A CHAIN have announced a new album!
Titled Culture Of Death, the new album from the US hardcore punk band follows their 2022 compilation Deprogram and their 2023 debut full-length Boxed In and is scheduled to be released in April this year via Revelation Records. It was tracked, mixed and mastered with Jack Shirley at Atomic Garden in Oakland, CA, and vocals were recorded with John Petris at Come And Track It Studios in Austin, TX.
Alongside the announcement of the album the band have released its lead single Cocalero.
Speaking about the track, vocalist Dave Ackerman comments, “I wrote this song after reading a book about the illegal gold trade in South America and the parallels to the cocaine trade. The coca leaf farmers live in poverty. They are under the thumb of the cocaine traffickers to grow the most they can, but also frequently the target of enforcement efforts. They receive the risks of the drug trade without the rewards.”
