Sylosis release new music video for ‘The Path’

SYLOSIS have released a new music video!

The new music video, for the track The Path, is the title track from the UK metal band’s brand new surprise EP, which was released on Friday, via Nuclear Blast Records. The new single features a guest appearance from Debbie Gough of HERIOT.

Speaking about the new song, vocalist/guitarist Josh Middleton shares, The Path is about my love and obsession for heavy music. It’s all I need. It’s never been a phase or something I’ll grow out of. I’m immersed in this culture and more than anything, I am still a rabid fan! I think previously writing a song about this kind of thing would have been a no-go for me. Maybe it could be perceived as corny or ‘out of character’ compared to some of the bands previous lyrics but this feels like a very important song to me.”

The new surprise EP contains five new songs that were leftover from the writing sessions for the band’s latest full-length record, A Sign Of Things To Come, which was released in September last year, via Nuclear Blast Records. The surprise drop of the new EP comes ahead of the band’s co-headlining European and UK tour with labelmates FIT FOR AN AUTOPSY, which kicks off in November.

Speaking about the release of their new EP, Middleton shares, “when we were working on ASOTTC we amassed a lot of material. It was a very creative period and the songs that didn’t make it onto ASOTTC were by no means below standard – far from it! We’re extremely excited to share with you The Path EP. Some of our best material to date! We hope you enjoy it!”

The Path is out now via Nuclear Blast Records.
