Carsick announce new EP ‘Tough Luck’
CARSICK have announced a new EP!
Titled Tough Luck, the upcoming EP from the Salisbury-based alternative punk band is the follow-up to 2023’s Drunk Hymns, and is scheduled to be released in September this year, via Alcopop! Records.
Recorded, mixed and mastered by Sam Winfield and Tom Millar at Studio 91. Alongside the announcement of the new EP, CARSICK have released a new music video for a new song lifted from the upcoming EP; Backseat.
Speaking about the new song, the band shares, “Backseat is a song about getting stuck in the loop of living for the weekend. British culture has always encouraged giving your entire week to work and then spending every last bit of your wage packet at the pub once Friday hits. It’s easy to put your life into autopilot and endlessly repeat that cycle without realising it’s become a downward spiral. Sounds bleak, but luckily we’ve condensed that existential crisis into a catchy summer banger for you. Just don’t worry about it!”
