Bloodstock Festival announce final 23 bands for New Blood Stage

Bloodstock Festival have announced the final 23 bands for this year’s Timothy Taylor New Blood Stage!

With just weeks to go until the UK’s biggest independent metal festival returns to Catton Park, organisers have confirmed a fresh batch of bands for the Timothy Taylor New Blood Stage, all of whom earned their place through this year’s Metal 2 The Masses initiative.

Set to appear on Friday, TEALDEER [Nottingham] will bring their chaotic alt-metal mash-up, while RASCAL [Poland] deliver lightning-fast twin-lead speed metal. Also appearing are glam rock ‘n’ rollers BACKSEAT JULIET [Kettering], melodic thrash crew OGUN [Merseyside], and genre-defying metalcore outfit DEVILHUSK [Brighton].

Saturday welcomes London deathcore bruisers SYMBYOTE, Welsh folk metal act ADFEILION, and Cheltenham’s post-metallers PRODIGAL. They are joined by Norwegian doom outfit ZEBULON, genre-hopping chaos from MANTIS DEFEATS JAGUAR [Birmingham], savage deathcore from MECHROMORPH [Essex], punk-fuelled energy from HEAD DENT [Stoke], and razor-sharp djent/metalcore from UNNATURAL ORDER [Kent]. Rounding out Saturday’s additions are EXORCISM [Coventry], blending death and thrash, and FIGHT THE CHAMP [Devon & Cornwall], who bring dynamic nu-hardcore energy.

Sunday sees the addition of techy progressive metalcore outfit OCEAN PLANET [Oxford], no-frills rock ‘n’ roll from RIZEN [Somerset], and hardcore groove juggernauts HEADCOUNT [Hitchin]. Also confirmed are immersive post-metal collective KOBA [East Anglia], post-hardcore unit RULED BY RAPTORS [Newcastle], “Rockcore” trio BAD EARTH [North Wales], ambient-infused metalcore force MONOCHROME [Bristol], and tech-deathcore wrecking crew SURYA [Burnley].

Speaking about the announcement, Metal 2 The Masses organiser Simon Hall says, “yet again the M2TM has unearthed some astounding fresh talent, as it has done for over 20 years. The commitment of promoters, venues, fans and of course the bands, is a testament to the strength in depth of the underground, not only in the UK but also with our European and Scandinavian partners. A huge thank you to all those who work tirelessly to give these bands the platform they so richly deserve.”
