Nova Twins release new music video for ‘N.O.V.A’

UK alternative duo NOVA TWINS have released a new music video!

Titled N.O.V.A, the track is the latest to be lifted from the band’s upcoming third studio album, Parasites & Butterflies, which is scheduled to be released in August this year, via Marshall Records.

Following on from previous singles Monsters, Soprano, and Piranha, the new track continues the band’s genre-defying approach, blending alt-rock, punk, and electronic elements. Lyrically, the song explores themes of identity, empowerment, and heritage. The accompanying music video was directed by Charlie Rees.

Speaking about the track, the band says, “this is a celebration of identity, a tribute to the women in our family, and a refusal to apologise for who we are. As two Black women in rock music, we initially felt we had to prove ourselves, due to a lack of representation. Sticking to our guns and overcoming self-doubt has brought us pride. This song honours the peers who paved the way and the progress we’ve made.”

Parasites & Butterflies is set for release on August 29th via Marshall Records. Pre-orders are available now and can be purchased here.
