Runemagick announce new album ‘Cycle of the Dying Sun (Dawn of Ashen Realms)’
Swedish doom/death metal band RUNEMAGICK have announced a brand new studio album!
Titled Cycle of the Dying Sun (Dawn of Ashen Realms), the upcoming album is the follow-up to 2023’s Beyond the Cenotaph of Mankind and is scheduled to be released in October this year, via Hammerheart Records. The album marks a new era for the band, entirely composed and performed by Nicklas Rudolfsson, who handles vocals, guitars, bass, synthesizers, and drums.
Alongside the album announcement, the band have released the first single from the record, Old Bones.
Speaking about the new single, the band shares, “Old Bones is the first glimpse into Cycle of the Dying Sun (Dawn of Ashen Realms), a song that treads the path of the nameless, where echoes of the past linger beneath layers of ash and time. As the second track of the album, it carves deep into the essence of what lies ahead: a journey through fading embers and veiled realms. No steps return, no echoes call / Through shadowed mist, through endless fall. The cycle has begun, and the bones still speak.”
