Distorted Sound Magazine: Issue 123
Issue 123 of Distorted Sound Magazine is now available!
Well, summer is over and here I write to you as a married man! What a summer! Apologies you’ve had to wait a little longer for this latest issue, but I hope the wait will be worth it. I’m delighted to welcome BLACKBRAID to our cover. This project, helmed by Jon Krieger, has taken the black metal world by storm and with his new record, Backbraid III, his project and vision is hitting new heights. I was lucky to have a deep and insightful conversation with the band’s mastermind, and our resulting conversation is one that shows a man truly connected to his craft.
Elsewhere, we welcome back returning DS favourites in AS DECEMBER FALLS, STORM, CAR BOMB, BURNING WITCHES and HELLOWEEN, plus we have new interviews with CALVA LOUISE, ALL MEN UNTO ME, IHLO, GOYA and tons more! Our Heavy Music History series takes a reflective dive into GHOST‘s Meliora, plus new Introducing spotlights on SIXTH WONDER and VMBRA.
Throw in our big recap of this year’s delightful RADAR Festival in Manchester, and a stack of new releases reviewed by the team, you’ve got one beefy issue to get stuck into. Enjoy!
