The Hyena Kill announce new album ‘Collapse’
THE HYENA KILL have announced a brand new album!
The upcoming album, titled Collapse, is the third full-length effort from the Manchester-based alt rock quartet and is scheduled to be released in November this year, via APF Records. The album follows 2021’s A Disconnect.
Speaking about the album, guitarist/vocalist Steven Dobb comments, “I gave every fibre of my being to this record. When it was finally finished, I knew I’d sacrificed a part of my soul and left it buried within this collection of songs. The sudden loss of my father put a huge pause on the album process as I battled with the grief of losing someone so special to me. By the time it came to write the lyrics I’d become a recluse; lost and lonely, viewing the world through a haze of darkness and falling back on unhealthy coping methods. This album is me clawing my way out, breathless and exhausted but out nonetheless. Driven by the desire to not only make my father proud but to finally bask in the warmth of the sun and let myself heal.”
Alongside the album announcement, the band have released the first single from the record: Sly.
