Long Distance Calling announce new live album ‘Live At Lichtburg’
LONG DISTANCE CALLING have announced a brand new live album!
The release, titled Live At Lichtburg, captures the band’s sold-out headline performance at the historic Lichtburg cinema in Essen, Germany, which took place in February 2024 in front of more than 1,200 fans. The live release is scheduled to be released in December this year, via earMUSIC.
The show marked a defining milestone in the band’s career and featured a reimagined set enriched by strings and brass, expanding their cinematic instrumental rock sound into bold new dimensions.
The live album and film will be available in multiple formats, including 2LP Gatefold Heavyweight 180g + Blu-ray and CD + Blu-ray Digipak, offering fans both the audio and visual essence of the night. The release includes highlights from across the band’s discography, with a particular focus on 2022’s Eraser and 2009’s Avoid The Light.
As a first taste of the release, the band have shared a live video for Kamilah, the lead single from the performance. Speaking about the release, the band shares comment, “Live At Lichtburg is more than a live recording; it’s a document of a band at their creative peak. The majestic atmosphere of the Lichtburg, the intensity of the music, and the connection between audience and band all combine to create an immersive experience that bridges past and present while pointing toward the future.”
