Persefone announce new live album ‘Live In Andorra’

PERSEFONE have announced a brand new live album!

Titled Live In Andorra, the upcoming live release from the Andorran progressive death metal masters is scheduled to be released on December 5th via Napalm Records.

Recorded during a one-off orchestral show at the National Auditorium of Andorra in May 2024, the album celebrates the band’s 20-year history and their return home after a decade, featuring a full collaboration with the Orquestra Nacional Clàssica d’Andorra.

Speaking about the album, the band says, “it is not everyday that you can celebrate the history of your band with such a unique set of circumstances. Playing at home after so many years, in front of our people, at the National Hall, with the National Orchestra, was something we never imagined would even be a possibility. But when the opportunity appeared, we just couldn’t say no, and we knew we wanted to have this whole experience immortalized for everyone to take part in it. This show is a way of coming full circle, from a crappy rehearsal room and our first shows in clubs, to being able to perform at such an iconic place in our country. Please join us for this special show. Welcome to PERSEFONE. Welcome to Andorra.”

Alongside the announcement of the new live album, the band have released a new live video for the track Living Waves, originally featured on their 2017 album Aathma. Speaking about the track, the band says, “Living Waves has to be one of the most important songs in our catalog. At least, that’s what we feel from the crowd every time we perform it live. Maybe it’s because we had the chance to work with Paul Masvidal, one of our biggest inspirations in music. Maybe it’s because of the deep meaning of the lyrics, or just because it has its own particular energy. This performance really makes the song shine, and it was a no-brainer for us to share it with everyone as one of the singles for the release.”
