Fire in the Mountains have announced the first wave of artists for the 2026 edition of the festival!
Set to take place from July 23rd-26th, 2026 at Red Eagle Campground in East Glacier, Montana, the immersive open-air festival will welcome a powerful lineup of heavy music artists, including the return of Norwegian extreme metal legends ENSLAVED, and an exclusive US performance from progressive black metal pioneers BORKNAGAR. Also confirmed are cosmic doom trio YOB (presented by Firekeeper Alliance), black folk metal outfit GALLOWBRAID (making their US live debut), Japanese experimental extreme metal veterans SIGH, America’s pre-eminent Western black metal band WAYFARER, Denver slowcore multi-instrumentalist MIDWIFE, Western noir band TARANTELLA, Montana progressive blackened doom quartet GALVANIST, and New Mexico indigenous black metal trio NOCTURNE.
This is the first taste of the 2026 lineup, with headlining acts still to be announced. Festival tickets include access to all music experiences, workshops and panels presented by Firekeeper Alliance, the Fire in the Mountains Marketplace, lake access for swimming and kayaking, and more. Additionally, all ticket holders are invited to participate in the Grand Entry hosted by the Blackfeet Nation on Thursday, July 23rd.
Fire in the Mountains is the only alcohol-free heavy music festival in North America, dedicated to raising awareness and supporting suicide prevention initiatives within Indian Country. Set in the remote wilderness bordering Glacier National Park – an area the Blackfeet call “The Backbone of the World”- the festival merges heavy music, nature, and Indigenous cultural experiences to create a one-of-a-kind, internationally acclaimed event.

Fire in the Mountains takes place from July 23rd-26th, 2026 at Red Eagle Campground, East Glacier, Montana. Tickets are available now and can be purchased here.
