Textures announce new album ‘Genotype’
Dutch progressive metallers TEXTURES have announced a brand new album!
The upcoming record, titled Genotype, is scheduled to be released on January 23rd, 2026 via Kscope. Serving as the long-awaited conceptual counterpart to 2016’s Phenotype, Genotype is not a continuation but a rebirth – eight new songs written from scratch and self-produced, mixed by Forrester Savell [KARNIVOOL, DEAD LETTER CIRCUS].
Alongside the announcement, the band have released their second single At The Edge Of Winter, featuring Charlotte Wessels (ex-DELAIN), which follows on from Closer To The Unknown, which was released back in June. The new song’s accompanying music video was directed by bassist Remko Tielemans.
