Myrkur releases new song ‘Touch My Love and Die’

MYRKUR has released a new single!

The new single, Touch My Love And Die, is the official Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2026 entry from the Danish artist, arriving as a dark, cinematic ballad that intertwines her longstanding influences from metal, Nordic folk and film scoring. The new single arrives on the back of her latest studio album, 2023’s Spine.

Recorded in Winter 2025 with Christopher Juul, the track merges cello, girls’ choir, ancient folk instrumentation and expansive percussion into a physical, organic soundscape. Lyrically, Touch My Love And Die moves within supernatural and gothic themes — a romance that functions as a warning, a spell and a layered meditation on vulnerability, danger and desire. The single arrives during a period of significant personal and artistic transformation for MYRKUR. She describes the work as something into which she has poured “heart, soul, blood, and tears”.
