Worm Shepherd announce new EP ‘Dawn Of The Iconoclast’

WORM SHEPHERD have announced a brand new EP!

The American blackened deathcore band have announced their upcoming EP, Dawn Of The Iconoclast, which is set for release on February 20th via Unique Leader Records.

Marking their first new material in two years since 2023’s The Sleeping Sun EP, the EP introduces a revitalised lineup featuring current and former members of IMMORTAL DISFIGUREMENT, INGESTED, and ARCHAIC EPIDEMIC, alongside the return of original drummer Leo McClain.

Speaking about the updated lineup, guitarist Tre Perdue says, “I’m very excited about the new lineup. I feel like we have the most talented members that we’ve had to date. Harry [ex-IMMORTAL DISFIGUREMENT] brings so much to the table for writing and meshes with my style so well. Tom INGESTED] is an absolute workforce on the bass and really adds some flare to the rhythm guitars with his aggressive style and tones. I’m also very excited that Leo [McClain – original drummer] is back in the band and having him back behind the kit for the WORM SHEPHERD sound gives some of that original tone from our first albums together. Us having this new sort of style that we’re doing, Ian [ARCHAIC EPIDEMIC] fits in perfectly with his aggressiveness and tonality of our new music, and I can’t wait to see what people think. This is the beginning of a new era for WORM SHEPHERD.”

Alongside the announcement, the band have released their crushing new single Whispers Of A Buried Land, offering the first look at this new chapter.
