Love Rarely announce debut album ‘Pain Travels’

LOVE RARELY have announced their debut album!

Emerging from Leeds’ flourishing alternative scene, the math‑rock/emo/hardcore band will release their debut album, Pain Travels, on April 10th via Big Scary Monsters.

Entirely self‑produced by guitarist Lew Taylor, the record reflects the band’s uncompromising DIY ethos, created across spare bedrooms and improvised recording spaces. Vocalist Courtney Levitt, guitarist Dan Dewsnap, bassist Dan Gilson, and drummer Leo Godfrey crafted their parts individually before collectively shaping the album into its final form.

Speaking about the album, guitarist Dan Dewsnap explains, Pain Travels takes you on a journey of attempting to cope with life when you might not have been dealt the best hand. It ended up being a deeper and darker record than we initially thought it would be, but that speaks to the authenticity on show. There’s a lot of positivity too. We’re basically saying things have been tough, but it’s going to be okay.”

Alongside the announcement, the band have released their brand new single Will, accompanied by an official music video. The new song is the latest single to be released from the upcoming debut album, following on from Mould and Whiplash, both released in September last year.
