core. announce first wave of bands for 2026
Core. have announced their return to Glasgow for the event’s fourth annual celebration of noise!
Set to take place from Friday 13th to Sunday 15th November, the three‑day festival dedicated to all things heavy will relocate to a new cluster of venues in the Sauchiehall Street / Garnethill area. This year’s edition will now take over The Art School, Nice N Sleazy, and Garnethill Multicultural Centre.
Leading the charge are the respective twin titans of US grind and sludge, PIG DESTROYER and EYEHATEGOD. Also confirmed are a string of long‑awaited and exclusive performances, including Scottish live debuts for NYC screamo kings SAETIA (UK Exclusive), NYHC bruisers INCENDIARY, and raging Moroccan punks TAQBIR. They’ll be joined by Singaporean grindcore crushers WORMROT, legendary UK sludge favourites RAGING SPEEDHORN, and trailblazing UK/Austrian feminist post‑hardcore outfit PETROL GIRLS.
Joining them across the weekend is an expansive roster of homegrown talent and global noise‑makers, including XIAO, BRATAKUS, BATHED IN SIN, MACHUKHA, RWAKE, CWFEN, MAUD THE MOTH, GOUT, L, UNMAKING, CANNY SEE, THROWN AWAY, BIG FARMER, OBSIDIAN SAND, ELECTRIC SUN DEFENCE, and many more still to be announced.
The 2026 edition will also feature an expanded independent merch market, community showcases, artist exhibitions, afterparties, and additional programming to be revealed in the months leading up to November.
