Crown Lands announce new album ‘Apocalypse’
CROWN LANDS have announced a brand new album!
Titled Apocalypse, the upcoming record from the Canadian progressive rock duo is scheduled to be released on May 15th, 2026 via InsideOut Music.
The album follows 2023’s Fearless and their 2025 instrumental releases Ritual I and Ritual II, and marks a major creative turning point for the duo. Conceptually crafted as a full album‑sides narrative experience, Apocalypse is anchored by its monumental 19‑minute title track, advancing the overarching story that connects Ritual and Fearless.
In conjunction with the announcement, the duo have released the title track Apocalypse, offering listeners the first glimpse into the album’s thematic and musical direction.
Speaking about the track’s creation, drummer/vocalist Cody Bowles says, “with long‑form songs, it always starts with the music. We built Apocalypse from instrumental sections, some older riffs, a lot of newly inspired ones, and mapped them out on a whiteboard, figuring out how one section could melt into the next.” Bowles adds, “Fearless and Ritual exist in the same story. But Ritual takes place much earlier in the timeline – it shows the planet during times of peace. Apocalypse moves the story forward and sets up the events that lead directly into Fearless.”
