I Am The Avalanche announce new album ‘THE HORROR SHOW’

I AM THE AVALANCHE have announced their brand new album THE HORROR SHOW!

The upcoming record from the New York punk rockers is the follow-up to 2020’s Dive and marks their first full-length in six years. Set for release on April 10th via Rude Records and Equal Vision Records, the album stands as the band’s most expansive, textural, and emotionally charged work to date.

Written largely in the wake of frontman Vinnie Caruana’s profound personal loss, the record explores friendship, mortality, love, resilience, and the courage that emerges from rebuilding after devastation.

To coincide with the announcement, the band have released the album’s title track THE HORROR SHOW as the first single. The song – paired with its companion piece GOD’S TRAVEL PLANS in the official video – delves into the altered worldview and overwhelming grief that follow the sudden loss of a dear friend. Directed by Jesse Korman and featuring Michael C. Williams (The Blair Witch Project), the video accompanies one of the most intimate and emotionally raw tracks of the band’s career.

Speaking about the themes behind the title track, Caruana explains, “immeasurable loss is something all of us will endure, if we haven’t already. Like when a grenade explodes in a war movie, all you hear is the ringing in your ears and see the world in front of you with a different tint.”
