Venom announce new album ‘Into Oblivion’
VENOM have announced a brand new album!
The legendary Newcastle extreme metal pioneers will return on May 1st, 2026 with Into Oblivion, their sixteenth studio album and their first new material since 2018’s Storm The Gates.
Speaking about the album, bassist/vocalist Cronos states, “this album has really pushed the boundaries, but if you want to make a killer album, you pay for it in blood, sweat and tears.”
Guitarist Rage adds, “I’m so proud of this album, it’s astounding! It feels so different, yet so familiar. The sonics are a step up, no song sounds the same, but they all work together.”
To coincide with the announcement, the band have released the lead single Lay Down Your Soul, a thunderous first offering that nods to their formative years and the era of Black Metal.
Commenting on the track, Cronos says, “I think it’s healthy to recognise things from back in the day and bring them into a new setting that gives it a whole fresh approach. The fans are going to go mental for it!”
