Hammok announce new album ‘When Does This Place Become Our Scene’
HAMMOK have announced a brand new album!
The Oslo‑based experimental hardcore/punk trio will release their new record When Does This Place Become Our Scene on June 5th, 2026 via Sargent House.
Speaking about the themes behind the record, vocalist/guitarist Tobias Osland explains, “a central idea was: What does it mean to be alone? Is it a strength? Do you feel a part of something? A community? When Does This Place Become Our Scene is an invitation: the sound of a band pouring all of themselves into this new music, promising an audience that this communication, this back and forth, is a worthwhile exchange.”
To coincide with the announcement, the band have released the album’s lead single The Scene, a razor‑edged, invigorating track written during their time touring throughout Europe. Reflecting on the single, Osland says, “everything was sort of a natural response to how good the tour was going, and all the people we had met up to that point. I wanted to capture and directly address the situation we were in – meeting people for the first time who give a shit about their community and the music around them.”
