Distant release new music video for ‘Spirit’

DISTANT have released a new music video!

The European deathcore band have shared the video for their new single Spirit, one of their most personal tracks to date. Inspired by a real‑life stabbing of a family member at a clinic named Spirit, the song channels themes of grief, shock, rage, and the visceral emotional fallout that follows traumatic violence.

Speaking about the track, the band shares, “inspired by a real life stabbing of a family member at a clinic called Spirit, the track channels grief, shock, and the uncomfortable human surge of rage and revenge that follows trauma. It is raw emotion turned into relentless sound and not supposed to glorify violence, but it is meant to confront it and ultimately deal with its traumatising aftermath.”

The song and accompanying video both feature guest vocals from Tyler Beam of THE LAST TEN SECONDS OF LIFE, and it follows on from the band’s previous single, Nothing Left To Hate, which was released back in January.
