Lost In Kyiv announce new album ‘We’re All Going To Be Fine’
LOST IN KYIV have announced a brand new album!
The French post‑metal quartet will return this summer with We’re All Going To Be Fine, the long‑awaited follow‑up to 2022’s Rupture. Set for release on June 19th via Pelagic Records, the album sees the band sharpening their cinematic, electronic‑infused heaviness into a darker, more immersive evolution of their sound.
Speaking on the album as a whole, the band shares, “We’re All Going To Be Fine explores the tension between hope and inner collapse, and how modern life can disconnect us from ourselves and each other. The songs were inspired by personal experiences, societal pressure, and the idea that we often become our own worst enemy… We were also inspired by the work of Carl Gustav Jung… and themes from movies like Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind or Melancholia.”
The band further reflect on their new era, “we almost consider this album as the first record of a new version of the band… Artistically, I think this album marks the beginning of a new direction, louder and more metal‑oriented than what we did before.”
Alongside the announcement, the band have released the first single, Burst, a transcendent and heavier new chapter for LOST IN KYIV. Speaking about the new single, the band shares, “Burst is the perfect introduction to this new chapter for LOST IN KYIV. It really showcases the heavier, more raw direction we took on this record. The addition of our new drummer Jérémie and the use of lower tunings allowed us to create something more brutal and direct, while keeping the atmospheric emotion that defines us.”
