August Burns Red announce new album ‘Season Of Surrender’

AUGUST BURNS RED have announced a brand new album!

The long‑running Lancaster, Pennsylvania metalcore band will return this summer with Season Of Surrender, their highly anticipated follow‑up to 2022’s Death Below. The album is set for release on June 5th via Fearless Records – the label to which the band recently returned.

Alongside the album announcement, the band have shared the lyric video for the new single The Nameless. The new song is the second single to be released from the upcoming album, following on from Behemoth, which was released Speaking about the new single, bassist Dustin Davidson states, “The Nameless is a hard-hitting, heavy bruiser that doesn’t let up for one moment. It combines classic ABR elements with dark moody technical rhythms, and fast paced vocals to keep the intensity up for the full three minutes of the track. To me it showcases our roots of where we’ve come from, and the future path of where we’re heading.”

Vocalist Jake Luhrs adds, “lyrically, The Nameless is a song about not wasting your life away for the sake of acceptance and comfortability. Sometimes it takes detaching from what you’ve been told, or from the beliefs you are no longer aligned with, in order to face your own weaknesses. In doing so you can break free to live a life you are proud of.”
