WREX release new music video for ‘Paranoia

WREX have released a new music video!

The rising Brighton alt‑rock duo have unveiled a brand new music video for their latest single, Paranoia. The track is taken from their newly announced EP, SADWORLD, which is set for release on May 20th, 2026.

Paranoia follows the previously released Consume and opens the five‑track EP with a stark depiction of anxiety, trauma, and the spiralling inner monologue that shapes the record’s thematic core. For the first time, WREX handed full creative control of a music video to an external collaborator – award‑winning director/DP Dogbrain [WARGASM, SOUTH ARCADE].

Speaking about their journey into the new EP, vocalist Mae Seaton says, “the last year has been about getting out there and pushing ourselves – playing as much as we can, meeting people, and feeling that connection in real time. We’ve played 54 shows over the last year, and that’s completely changed our perspective. This project started with two people and a laptop, so being in those rooms night after night has forced us out of our own heads, stripped something back, and let the songs take on a different weight once they’re shared with other people.

This EP is about taking our personal experiences and opening them up in a way that other people can identify with. Our prior writing was very focused on the self; SADWORLD is more of a reflection on the impact of the world in its current state, and on the community.”

Guitarist/vocalist George Donoghue adds that Paranoia was written backwards, built from its final lyric – “Don’t try to save me, just pull the cord” – forming the EP’s emotional and conceptual entry point.
