Brocarde announces debut album ‘Good Attendance At Sunday School’

BROCARDE has announced her debut album!

The UK solo artist and self‑described ghost whisperer (gothic art-pop) has announced her debut album, Good Attendance At Sunday School. Set for release on May 29th, 2026, the record brings together a decade of storytelling, spanning childhood memories, personal transformation, and the darkly theatrical world BROCARDE has crafted since her 2019 arrival with Last Supper.

Good Attendance At Sunday School has been ten years in the making. Across its nine tracks, BROCARDE presents what she describes as her life’s “storyboard” – a turbulent, emotional journey shaped by trauma, growth, and her unique creative world merging music, fashion, horror aesthetics, and deeply personal lyricism. Discussing the album as a whole, she explains, Good Attendance At Sunday School is more than just an album, this is the storyboard to my life, the pain and heartache poured into it is immeasurable and I’ve struggled endless to let it go and move forward. To the outside world I may just be another self indulgent new artist with a record to sell but this record has saved me over and over again and I do not know what my life would be or where I would be without it. Over ten years ago, I embarked on this crazy journey, in many ways I was a lost, broken child, a ball of angst and anxiety, in some ways I’m still that child, moments recently are all too real and I’ve found myself lost in a world of emotion. Over the years I’ve struggled with articulating who I am and what I feel, these songs have allowed me to do that.”

Alongside the announcement, BROCARDE has released the album’s powerful new single, F.E.M.I.N.I.S.T.. One of the heaviest tracks on the record, the song explores the complexities and contradictions of modern feminism, delivered with her signature blend of theatricality and raw vulnerability. The accompanying music video was filmed in the dungeon of Chillham Castle, reputed to be the most haunted castle in the UK.

Speaking about the new single, she says, “I find elements of confusion and contradiction lay within the debate of feminism, it’s a debate that often defeats itself and I wanted to challenge the ideal of what it meant. Empowerment means different things to different people, and some use feminism as a way of assert their own beliefs and ideals on people. It’s the song I struggle with the most on my album because it’s me trying to be someone I’m not, it’s me putting on a powerful front when inside I was crumbling.”
