Nestor announce new live album ‘Live at Gothenburg Film Studios’
NESTOR have announced their first-ever live album, Live At Gothenburg Film Studios, due out August 14th, 2026 via Napalm Records!
Originally formed in 1989, the Swedish melodic rock band made their return in 2021 with debut album Kids In A Ghost Town. The follow‑up Teenage Rebel arrived in 2024. Recorded at Gothenburg Film Studios, Live At Gothenburg Film Studios captures the band’s live sound for the first time across 16 tracks. Drawing on material from both studio albums, the record showcases NESTOR’s 80s‑inspired melodic rock in a rawer live setting.
Speaking about the upcoming live album, vocalist Tobias Gustavsson shares, “when I listen to Live at Gothenburg Film Studios it becomes clear to me that it shows everything that NESTOR was about, from the beginning. A live performance with all the little quirks and mistakes that makes it human, a thing that I have learned to love even more in an era of AI generated music. Live at Gothenburg Film Studios is less clinical and more of a human experience in comparison to our studio albums and shows a different side of NESTOR. I hope you will enjoy it as much as we did recording it up on stage.”
The album includes live versions of Firesign and On The Run from Kids In A Ghost Town, alongside Teenage Rebel, the title track from the band’s latest studio record. The release will also be available on DVD.
