Saidan announce new album ‘FANGDRILLER: Scars Beneath Memory’s Wrist’
SAIDAN have announced a brand new album!
The Japanese horror-inspired USBM outfit will release their fourth full-length album, FANGDRILLER: Scars Beneath Memory’s Wrist, on June 19th, 2026 via Avantgarde Music. The record serves as the follow-up to 2024’s Visual Kill: The Blossoming of Psychotic Depravity and continues the band’s ongoing narrative universe, further expanding on the surreal and unsettling world they have crafted across their previous work.
A prequel to Visual Kill, FANGDRILLER: Scars Beneath Memory’s Wrist follows The Student (Junko) as she attempts to heal a fractured heart. Haunted by wistful solitude, her isolation makes her the perfect victim for a mysterious cult known as Ethereal Blood.
Alongside the album announcement, SAIDAN have also unveiled the first single from the record, Kara no Bara, accompanied by an official music video. Vocalist and instrumentalist Splatterpvnk comments, “Kara no Bara,’ which translates to ‘Empty Rose,’ is a song that highlights Junko, the main character of our latest album ‘FANGDRILLER,’ by shining a spotlight on her struggles with isolation before her unfortunate encounter with a cult named Ethereal Blood, while also serving as a metaphorical analysis of my own struggles with loneliness and depression.”
