Green Lung announce new album ‘Necropolitan’
GREEN LUNG have announced a brand new album!
The London-based occult doom metal outfit will release their fourth full-length record, Necropolitan, on September 11th, 2026 via Nuclear Blast Records. The album is the follow-up to 2023’s This Heathen Land and continues the band’s exploration of British folklore and heavy metal tradition, rooted in their home city.
Recorded at Rockfield Studios in January 2026, the album was produced, recorded and mixed by Tom Dalgety [OPETH, GHOST]. This time, GREEN LUNG focused on capturing their live sound more directly, scaling back layered arrangements in favour of a rawer, heavier approach built around Sabbathian riffs, Hammond organ and Mellotron textures.
The band have also released a new single, Evil In This House. The track is accompanied by an official music video inspired by 70s haunted house films.
