Sicksense release new music video for ‘Newsflash’
SICKSENSE have released a new music video!
The modern metal outfit have unveiled Newsflash, a brand new single taken from their upcoming new material set to arrive later this year, which will mark the follow-up to 2025’s debut album Cross Me Twice.
Speaking about the new track, vocalist Vicky Psarakis says, “Newsflash is about being unapologetically you. We live in a world where people feel a constant pressure to fit into societal standards that are always evolving, leaving us confused and afraid to show our real self. ‘Newsflash of the week, everyone’s a freak’ is the hook in the chorus that empowers you to be different, weird, quirky. Embrace it, own it. Life is short, we shouldn’t spend it always worrying about what others think.”
Vocalist Robby J. Fonts adds, “people love finding excuses to tear others down. Instead of building their own lives, they live to make everyone else around them as miserable as they are. Newsflash is about pointing out that irony and telling everyone: ‘You know what? Stay miserable. I’m going to live my life how I choose without worrying about what you think of me’.”
It’s a fun anthem that’s a throwback to SICKSENSE’s original ‘in-your-face’ attitude while sonically pushing the band forward from where we left off with our Cross Me Twice album.”
