Bokassa release new music video for ‘Doesn’t Matter If You Love It Here’

BOKASSA have released a new music video!

The Norwegian stoner punk trio have unveiled Doesn’t Matter If You Love It Here, a melodic stoner rock anthem with a metallic edge and sun-soaked desert vibe, and marks their first new music since 2024’s All Out Of Dreams.

Speaking on the new single, the band shares, Doesn’t Matter If You Love It Here is a song about something running its course and being beyond saving. Sort of like the relationship between humans and the natural resources on this earth, which has taken its toll because of our negligence.”

The track was produced, engineered, and mixed by two-time Grammy winner Adrian Bushby (FOO FIGHTERS, MUSE, THE DARKNESS), with mastering handled by George Perks (DON BROCO, ENTER SHIKARI), and recorded at Otterhead Studios in England in March 2026. The accompanying music video leans into a grindhouse aesthetic, as the band host bass player auditions that take a gruesome turn, paying homage to the campy slasher B-movies of the 70s and 80s.

Frontman Jørn Kaarstad explains, “I love scary movies and campy ’70/’80s horror has a special place in my heart. They are often as goofy as they are scary, so we wanted to make something in a similar vein (no pun) and I think we succeeded!”

The single is out now via the band’s own label, Kings of Stonerpunk Records, marking a return to their DIY roots. Kaarstad adds, “we’ve always been a band who do a lot of things ourselves, and have had that DIY spirit intact ever since I booked our shows the first five years of our existence (yes even the METALLICA tour). We’ve always had a dream of doing it ourselves again, and are very excited to finally have taken that leap with our new single.”
