Din Of Celestial Birds announce new album ‘Takeoffs & Landings’

DIN OF CELESTIAL BIRDS have announced a brand new album!

The Leeds-based instrumental progressive post-rock quintet have announced their new album Takeoffs & Landings, due for release on August 7th via Big Scary Monsters. The concept record centres on travel and the journey of life, and follows the band’s debut album.

The band have also released the title track Takeoffs & Landings, the opening song from the album. Inspired by cosmonaut Alexei Leonov’s 1965 spacewalk, the single blends dense three-guitar textures, soaring synths, and heavier riff-driven climaxes. The accompanying music video was directed and edited by guitarist Tom Hazlehurst.

Speaking about the album, the band shares, “the goal is that people listening to the album will feel something; either from the experiences they have had that the music evokes, or that the music takes them to new places. We want listeners to feel these adventures; to visualise huge mountains and vast oceans. Failing that, we want them to feel joy.”
