10,000 Years announce new album ‘Esox Lucifer’
10,000 YEARS have announced a brand new album!
The Swedish stoner metal trio will release their new album Esox Lucifer this August 7th via Ripple Music. The record serves as the follow-up to 2024’s All Quiet On The Final Frontier, which marked the band’s debut on the label and expanded their signature riff-driven sound with a more melodic, sci‑fi‑tinged edge.
Esox Lucifer was produced by the band themselves, with Erik Palm handling engineering duties. Recording took place over four months at their own Pine Hill Studios, with drums tracked at Studio Fluff in Västerås by Andreas Morén. The album was mixed by Robert Lamu of SKRAECKOEDLAN and mastered by Magnus “Devo” Andersson at Endarker Studio.
Alongside the announcement, the band have revealed the album’s first single Two Million Stones, delivering a rip‑roaring introduction to what is described as their most ambitious work to date. Diving deep into existential dread and dark lore, Esox Lucifer continues the band’s obsession with science fiction, horror, and fantasy, pairing towering riffs with soaring melodies and unrelenting heaviness.
